Official visit of the delegation of the Istria County to the Kakheti region
From 15 to 17 June, an official delegation of the Istrian County visited the Georgian region of Kakheti. The main goal of this visit was to establish and deepen friendly relations and encourage regional cooperation between the two regions.
As part of the official visit, members of the Istrian delegation held a meeting with the state representative of the Kakheti region, Mr. Platon Kalmakhelidze. During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on key features of both regions. The discussions were primarily focused on identifying common development directions and defining concrete opportunities for future institutional and economic cooperation.
The delegation visited the historic monastery complexes of Alaverdi and Nekresi, as well as the Historical Museum in Telavi. The visit was an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the uniqueness of Georgian culture, which holds a prominent place in the world's cultural heritage.
The visit was successfully concluded with an agreement to establish lasting friendship and close institutional cooperation between the Istrian County and the Kakheti region.
