Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Croatia were established in 1993, and on the 30th anniversary in 2023, the Embassy of Georgia was officially opened in Zagreb. The opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Croatia, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and other high-ranking officials.

Although our embassy in Zagreb opened only in 2023, our relations with Croatia are already quite active, close, and friendly. Croatia is our reliable political partner and an outstanding supporter of our European integration path.
Georgia and Croatia have many things in common, including recent historical heritage. Our countries are distinguished by similar cultural and social characteristics - we have approximately the same territorial size, with almost the same number of inhabitants with similar ethnic diversity. Our economies also share many things in common and need development and expansion. In this regard, many important steps have been taken recently and the best opportunities lie in deepening cooperation in the field of tourism.
