Georgian folklore was performed at the International Festival „ISTRA MUSIC FEST“

From 8 to 12 July 2026, the 23rd International Folklore and Folk Dance Festival “ISTRA MUSIC FEST” was held in Istria region, Croatia. Upon the initiative and with the support of the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Croatia, a Georgian folklore was performed at the festival for the first time by the Ensemble Herio.

The festival brought together folklore ensembles from 14 countries and more than 600 participants. In recognition of its outstanding artistic performance, the Georgian ensemble was awarded a Special Prize.

The festival serves as an important platform for the promotion of the cultural traditions of participating countries, the exchange of artistic experience, and building bridges across nations through culture.
